West Chicago

West Chicago sits on the western edge of DuPage County, with easy access to I-88, I-90, and Metra service into the city. It’s just minutes from Cantigny Park in neighboring Wheaton, with its formal gardens and the First Division Museum, and has a walkable historic downtown along Main Street. DuPage County & Nearby Suburbs

Winfield

A small, quiet DuPage County village bordering West Chicago, Winfield offers a tight-knit community feel with Metra service and easy access to Central DuPage Hospital and the surrounding forest preserves.

Carol Stream

Bordering West Chicago to the east, Carol Stream is a family-friendly community with a mix of subdivisions built from the 1960s through today, plus convenient shopping along North Avenue.

Warrenville

Just south of West Chicago along the West Branch of the DuPage River, Warrenville combines convenient access to I-88 with parks, trails, and forest preserve land along the river.

Wheaton

The DuPage County seat, Wheaton offers a walkable downtown, Metra service, and Wheaton College, along with a range of established neighborhoods just east of West Chicago.

Wayne

A small, rural community along the DuPage-Kane county line, Wayne is known for its horse farms, large-lot properties, and open, wooded landscape.

Glendale Heights

Just northeast of West Chicago, Glendale Heights offers a mix of established neighborhoods, convenient shopping, and community parks along North Avenue and Army Trail Road.

Glen Ellyn

Home to the College of DuPage and a walkable downtown with Metra service, Glen Ellyn offers tree-lined streets, Lake Ellyn Park, and some of the area’s most established neighborhoods.

Bartlett

Spanning parts of Cook, DuPage, and Kane counties, Bartlett is known for Villa Olivia’s golf course and ski hill, along with its self-proclaimed title as the “Volleyball Capital of the World.”

Bloomingdale

A DuPage County village with a mix of established subdivisions and shopping along Army Trail Road and Gary Avenue, Bloomingdale also offers easy access to nearby forest preserves.

Hanover Park

Spanning Cook and DuPage counties, Hanover Park offers Metra service into the city and a diverse mix of established neighborhoods.

Lisle

Home to the Morton Arboretum and Benedictine University, Lisle combines green space with an established business corridor along I-88.

Roselle

A quiet DuPage County village with Metra service, Roselle offers established neighborhoods and a small, walkable downtown.

Naperville

One of the Chicago area’s largest suburbs, Naperville is known for its downtown Riverwalk, Naper Settlement historic village, and highly rated schools.

Lombard

Known for Lilacia Park and its annual Lilac Festival, Lombard offers a walkable downtown, Metra service, and the nearby Yorktown Center shopping district.

Addison

A DuPage County village with a strong industrial and business base, Addison also offers Four Seasons Park and convenient access to O’Hare via Lake Street.

Downers Grove

Downers Grove features a lively downtown with Metra service, the historic Tivoli Theatre, and tree-lined residential neighborhoods.

Villa Park

Home to the historic Ovaltine Court district, Villa Park offers established neighborhoods and convenient access to the Illinois Prairie Path.

Itasca

A small DuPage County village with a mix of residential neighborhoods and a notable business park along I-290 and Route 53.

Schaumburg

Home to Woodfield Mall, one of the largest shopping destinations in the Midwest, Schaumburg is a major retail and business hub in the northwest suburbs.

Oakbrook Terrace

A small DuPage County city known for its office towers along Route 83 and the Drury Lane Theatre.

Woodridge

A DuPage County village known for Seven Bridges Golf Club and its family-friendly neighborhoods.

Wood Dale

A small DuPage County city near O’Hare Airport, Wood Dale offers established neighborhoods along Salt Creek.

Westmont

Westmont offers a revitalized downtown, Metra service, and Ty Warner Park with its notable community playground.

Oak Brook

Home to Oakbrook Center and numerous corporate headquarters, Oak Brook combines upscale shopping with large, wooded residential lots near Fullersburg Woods.

Elmhurst

Known as the “City of Elms,” Elmhurst features a vibrant downtown, Elmhurst University, and tree-lined residential streets.

Clarendon Hills

A small, walkable DuPage County village with Metra service and a quiet, family-oriented downtown.

Bensenville

Located near O’Hare Airport, Bensenville offers established neighborhoods and convenient access to expressways.

Bolingbrook

One of the area’s larger villages, Bolingbrook offers extensive shopping at Promenade Bolingbrook and the Bolingbrook Golf Club.

Darien

A DuPage County city known for its many small lakes and ponds, Darien offers established, family-friendly neighborhoods.

Fox Valley & Kane County Communities

Geneva

A historic Fox River town northwest of West Chicago, Geneva is known for its charming downtown shopping district, riverfront parks, and top-rated schools.

St. Charles

Further up the Fox River, St. Charles rounds out the river towns with a lively downtown, riverside parks, and year-round community events, all within a short drive of West Chicago.

Batavia

Another Fox River community bordering Geneva, Batavia offers a historic downtown, scenic riverwalk, and a mix of established and newer neighborhoods within easy reach of West Chicago.

South Elgin

Along the Fox River just north of St. Charles, South Elgin offers riverside parks, the Fox River Trail, and a growing mix of newer subdivisions.

North Aurora

Along the Fox River just north of Aurora, North Aurora offers riverside parks like Island Park, a mix of established and newer neighborhoods, and easy access to Randall Road shopping.

Aurora

Illinois’ second-largest city, Aurora sits along the Fox River and is known for the historic Paramount Theatre, RiverEdge Park, and a growing, diverse downtown.

Campton Hills

A newer Kane County municipality west of St. Charles, Campton Hills is known for its large-lot, semi-rural character and preserved open space.

Elgin

One of the larger cities along the Fox River, Elgin offers a historic downtown, riverfront entertainment, and a mix of established and newer neighborhoods.

Lily Lake

A small, rural Kane County village known for its quiet, wooded setting west of St. Charles.

Montgomery

A growing Fox River community south of Aurora, Montgomery offers newer subdivisions and access to the Virgil Gilman Trail.

Elburn

A small Kane County village at the western end of the Metra BNSF Line, Elburn keeps a small-town, rural feel.

Sugar Grove

Home to the main campus of Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove is a growing Kane County community with newer subdivisions.

West Dundee

A Fox River village in Kane County, West Dundee offers a historic downtown and shopping along Route 31.
